For Soundness and Performance, Health and Well-being

Offering McTimoney manipulation and massage, saddle fitting, and coaching, across the East Midlands.

Rachael Jayne Barker

As an equestrian for over 30 years, Rachael has built and developed a wealth of knowledge, to help her customers and their horses.
Optimal Equine was established for secondary therapy following Rachael's qualification as a McTimoney manipulator (MSc) and massage therapist, but she soon expanded her knowledge and trained in saddle fitting, and coaching, to help offer a more 'all round' perspective for her customers and their horses.

In her personal time, Rachael enjoys caring for, and riding her own horses.
She has a team of four. Sleet is 24 years old, and been with Rachael nearly 20 years, competing in just about every discipline going. Lord Gale (Lordie) is an 18 year old ex racehorse, retrained to event and now enjoying low level dressage. 'My Little Wing Man' (Tristan) is a 12hh coloured pony, who is very special indeed, and competes in-hand at County level. Goodmans Gift  (Blee) is now 12 years old, and competing in eventing, British dressage, and more recently Freestyle to Music.

The care and management of her horses is paramount, and the passion she feels for her own team, crosses over into her work, and commitment to help others.
